Come and join us for a stay in one of the most beautiful locations within the UK full of chocolate
box cottages and quaint villages the Cotswolds is so idyllic, on way we will be aiming to stop in
Burford which has the longest high streets in Europe and is also known as the gateway to the
Cotswolds where you will be able to enjoy some lunch in one of the many cafes or pubs that line
the gently sloping streets that run down to the river Windrush at the bottom of the village.
We will be staying at the Three ways Hotel in the heart of Mickleton. The Three Ways House Hotel,
home of the world-famous Pudding Club, makes a great base for this sweet-toothed tour, which
includes a mouth-watering visit to Cadbury World to indulge in all thing’s chocolate. As we roam
around the stunning Cotswolds, we also visit a few of its delightful towns and villages, spend time
admiring gorgeous gardens and eclectic plant collections.
We will visit the birthplace and beloved hometown of William Shakespeare. Stratford-upon-Avon
with our free time we can immerse ourselves in the world of the playwright and poet with visits to
Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Shakespeare’s New Place exhibition and gardens, and the Church of the
Holy Trinity, where he is buried. Following time for lunch in Stratford-upon-Avon, we head to the
land of chocolate, Cadbury World. Here, we enjoy the Heritage Tour, taking a trip down memory
lane and getting a good dose of nostalgia (and a taste of the sweet stuff) as we reminisce about
Cadbury and Bournville over the years. Taste buds tingling, we also tuck into a cream tea during
We will take you to visit Batsford Arboretum, home to the country’s largest private collection of
trees and shrubs and set in a glorious 56 acres of Cotswold countryside. We stroll through a
fascinating collection of plants, trees, shrubs and bamboo from around the world on our 90
minute guided tour, before enjoy time at leisure in some pretty Cotswolds destinations, including
market town of Stow on the Wold where you will have the chance to walk round the square taking
in the historic building and a chance to grab a drink from one of the many bars or cafes. We finish
our day in the charming village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Fondly nicknamed the ‘Venice of the
Cotswolds’ and considered one of the prettiest villages in England, we can enjoy some tranquil
time by the River Windrush, admiring the distinctive low bridges dotted around.
You will be treated to a ride on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway for a one-way
journey from Toddington to Broadway, taking in spectacular Cotswolds scenery as we travel. We
have time to explore beautiful Broadway – including its pretty tree-lined high street, independent
shops and galleries – and for a spot of lunch in one of its lovely eateries. We end our day at
Hidcote Manor Gardens, where we enjoy an introductory talk to learn more about this arts and
crafts inspired garden. Featuring an array of colourful and intricately designed outdoor rooms’, we
wander along paved pathways as we adventure through the fabulous blooms and spot visiting
wildlife along the way.
On our return home we will be visiting the last of the Cotswolds hidden gem and the reason that
Rainbow Trout are so plentiful in the River Windrush and also the home of the most famous little
yellow car, this car has had millions of pictures taken of it from people all over the world, you will
have the chance to grab some lunch before heading home.
